Jeffrey 'Jeff' J. Warders, age 53, passed away at his home in Navarre, on Monday, March 13, 2017.

Jeff was born November 30, 1963, at Marysville, to William “Joe” and Phyllis J. (Sperry) Warders. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Waterville. On November 28, 1983, at Abilene he married Fay Thompson. They later divorced.

Jeff spent most of his life living and working in the Clay Center, Abilene and Navarre areas. He enjoyed genealogy, fishing, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his children: Amber Price and husband Thomas of Abilene, Madison Strunk and husband Austin of Junction City, and Gage Warders of Junction City, his father Joe Warders and step-mother Jean of Blue Rapids, three grandchildren, a sister: Hope Buessing and husband Andy of Colwich, four brothers: Kevin Warders of Marysville, Dustin Warders and wife Dava of Blue Rapids, Jerald Runnebaum and wife Diane of Halstead and David Runnebaum of Silver Lake.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Runnebaum.

Visitation was from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, on Friday, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville.

Funeral Services were planned for 10:00 am, Saturday, March 18, 2017, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Waterville with Sister Mary Arie officiating. The service included instrumental selections of “Canon in D”, “Hallelujah” and a congregational hymn of “Amazing Grace”. Casket bearers included Andy Persell, Jim Osborne, Heath Warders, Keith Warders, Corey Warders and Roy Yungeberg. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Waterville.

Memorials are suggested to the Jeffrey Warders Memorial to be designated later and may be sent in care of the funeral home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
