Doris M. Cope, age 91, of Marysville, passed away in a motor vehicle accident, along with her husband Harold and sister-in-law Margie Naylon, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Mohave Valley, Arizona

Doris was born June 28, 1925, at Centralia to Marvin F. and Mable Ruth (Kenworthy) Williams. She met and married Harold L. Cope in 1944 when he was home on leave from the Navy.

Doris was a member of First Christian Church in Marysville and the Christian Women’s Fellowship at church. When she was younger, she taught herself to sew and spent hours and hours sewing clothes for the grandchildren. As the great grandchildren came along she tried to make each one a quilt. When She wasn’t’ quilting, she was working in her beloved flower garden, one of her all-time favorite things to do. She especially loved roses and would always accept someone’s “sick” rose on and try to bring it back to health.

Surviving Doris is her daughter Linda and husband Benji Jorgenson of Randolph, a sister Rose Jackson of Prescott, Arizona, ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, three sons; Karl Reinhard, Jimmy Cope and Michael Cope, and two sisters; Betty Woodyard and Clara Strauss.

Memorial services are planned for 10:00 am, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the First Christian Church in Marysville. A private inurnment will be at Cottage Hill Cemetery, south of Waterville.
