Scott E. Curtis, age 43, of Waterville, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, in a motorcycle accident south of Clay Center.

Scott was born at North Platte, Nebraska, on October 26, 1973, the son of Joyce M. (Gibbs) and Clyde D. Curtis. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1991. He married Madeline R. Taylor on July 27, 2012 at Auburn, Nebraska. He was a veteran of the US Navy and worked as an over the road truck driver for Chase Farms Trucking and Haying in Abilene.

Scott loved his children and grandchildren, he enjoyed his Harley and the Huskers. He was also known for his great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife Madeline of Waterville, his parents; Joyce and Clyde Curtis of Pawnee City, Nebraska, his children; Jakub J. Curtis of Marysville, Rebecca N. Curtis of Marysville, TJ Taylor of Waterville, Andrew K. Manion of Gainesville, Florida and Nicole D. Shaw of Auburn, Nebraska, and by five grandchildren, a brother Jason W. Curtis of Topeka and a sister, Wendi M. Lerette of Pawnee City, Nebraska. Scott was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Curtis.

A private interment service was held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery, South of Blue Rapids, followed by a gathering of family and friends.
